Simpson Desert Challenge Website
Youngcare’s Simpson Desert Challenge is arguably one of Australia’s leading iconic charitable adventure challenges. The biennial challenge tests bold Youngcare supporters to trek more than 225km across the Simpson Desert for nine days. During the trek, they’re exposed to harsh desert weather conditions and climb over 1,000 sand dunes in the process.
The exceedingly isolated environment and arduous conditions, where personal choices are limited, serve as a stark reflection of the daily challenges confronted by young individuals with high physical support needs. The transformative impact of this trek extends beyond the participants themselves, profoundly touching the lives of these young individuals and their cherished ones.
Taking charge of the website development, graphic design, and digital marketing for the Simpson Desert Challenge was an immensely fulfilling experience. I actively contributed to the resounding success of the challenge by undertaking the following endeavors:

Designing impactful outdoor advertising in the form of printed billboards, effectively promoting the challenge to a wider audience.
Creating visually appealing printed and digital materials to attract and assist trekkers throughout their fundraising journey.
Devising a comprehensive organic social media strategy to entice and recruit passionate trekkers, amplifying the reach and impact of the challenge.
